We’re currently hiring for the following positions:

Landscape Technician II have the ability to manage and work on projects from start to finish. Their roles are critical to the success of the company. They must follow policy, protocol and help Site Supervisors and Operations Managers get projects completed on time, on budget, meeting both client and company expectations. The Assistant Site Supervisor must be organized, have a grasp on technology, must welcome challenges, be willing to learn, must show a drive to succeed, and be a self-starter.

They will have a sense of pride in the quality of their work, understand that the effectiveness and profitability is key to their job. They must always set a good example and work to ensure those around them do the same. The Assistant Site Supervisor, is sometimes “the face” of Inhabitect and they must always present themselves as professional and carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.

They will be overseeing and co-managing Field Associates/Laborers. When management of a project or jobsite is delegated to the Assistant Site Supervisor, they are expected to come prepared, to all meetings and job start-ups, 100% of the time and utilize the technologies (Project Management software, iPads, Iphone, etc) that are at their disposal to plan, document and execute their jobs. The ideal candidate is someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is driven to help Inhabitect continue to innovate and excel at all things green infrastructure, ecological landscaping and community minded design.

This person will have:

–     3+ years of experience with residential and/or commercial landscape professions or similar

–     Must have experience with some level of management 

–     Must have and/or be willing to obtain CDL drivers license 

–     Must be a motivated self-starter and have a desire to learn and grow 

–     Must be highly organized

–     Must have good communication skills

–     Clean and professional appearance and demeanor is vital. Set example for crew. 

–     Must be personally accountable for their actions, decisions and choices 

–     Hands on experience with construction or landscaping is a MUST

–     Desire to grow both personally and professionally

–     Be comfortable with technology requirements of the job (computers, smart phones, tablets, etc) 

Compensation:

Very competitive wage plus opportunity for bonuses

Signing bonus depending on experience

Position is Full-time during the season with flexibility in off-season

Our Landscape Tech I are entry level laborers that work outside, assisting to design, build and grow all sorts of landscape projects. Their role is a hybrid of a landscaper, a carpenter and a roofer. They play a critical in the success of the company and they must follow policy, protocol and help to get projects completed on time, on budget, meeting both client and company expectations.

They must always set a good example and have a good attitude. They are expected to come to work prepared and have a sense of pride in the quality of their work.

This person will have:

– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (CDL a plus)
– Strong work ethic and desire to grow their career
– Ability to repeatedly lift and carry, lift and move 50 lbs on a regular basis
– Ability to work well with others
– Experience work in one of the following: Landscaping, Roofing, Carpentry or Farming
– Experience with operating heavy equipment is desired
– Must be a motivated and have a desire to learn

Compensation:

– Wage varies depending on experience – Current starting rate is very competitive

We are seeking a motivated Landscape Designer who is passionate about integrating living systems into the urban fabric. This is a dynamic, entry-level position offering the rare opportunity to be involved in the entire lifecycle of regenerative projects right away —from initial conceptual design to onsite installation.

Working directly with the Leader of the Design Department and our Founder, you will be instrumental in developing new projects that prioritize native plants, habitat and biodiversity, and environmental resilience. You will gain comprehensive experience in site inventory and analysis, conceptual development, design detailing, material selection and estimating, as well as be exposed to our green roof, green stormwater infrastructure and shoreline restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Detailing: Assist in creating landscape use plans and designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Project Lifecycle Management: Balance technical office work with onsite installation to ensure our ecological goals are met in the field.Support our estimating staff, deliver take-offs, and help the expedite the bidding process.
Onsite Execution: Provide oversight during construction. This role requires working at heights and operating man-lifts; safety and comfort on rooftops are essential.
Business Development: Contribute to architectural sales, marketing efforts, and social media engagement to help grow the Inhabitect brand.
– Operations: Utilize Salesforce for job tracking, scheduling, and time management.

Qualifications

– Education: Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Engineering. We will support you as you work towards licensure.
– Experience: While this is an entry-level career position, candidates should have foundational experience (internships or 1+ years) in both professional office environments and onsite construction.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required. Experience with GIS or drone work is a big plus.
– Professionalism: Clean appearance and the ability to present confidently to groups. Strong technical writing and verbal skills are vital for communicating with co-workers and clients.
– Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in high-paced and dynamic environments and enjoys collaborating. We are a design-build firm so you will work inside and outside the office – with a diverse team.

Compensation & Benefits

– Competitive salary $54,000-$62,000/year based on experience
