Project Description

In 2023, Inhabitect installed a 1,500 sf modular vegetated tray system atop butter’s new dispensary in Berkley, Michigan. This green roof meets the requirements of the local stormwater ordinance and was accepted as a viable green stormwater management solution, retaining and detaining nearly 100% of the rainfall that hits the vegetated surface. Complemented by other stormwater features on site, this project demonstrates a sustainable and holistic approach to landscaping, and it is a great example of managing rainfall with a Stormwater Treatment Train approach.

“Working with you and your crew was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, from planning and scheduling to the final install. It’s clear that you all truly love what you do—a rare quality these days. The team was courteous, highly knowledgeable, communicated everything clearly, and left the site spotless. Their positive attitude made the entire process one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long time. Please let them know how much I appreciated their hard work. I’m excited to see the drone video—thank you again!”
