This project is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION and will be completed in 2022. Situated on a Northern facing lot in Grand Traverse County, this property has distant views of Lake Michigan.

Inhabitect was to design and build an entire landscape for this client. We drafted the landscape plans and details. We started the installation in the fall of 2021 until end of season. This work included demo of the existing landscape, earthwork, the construction of bike shed that will have a green roof, setting footings for a large deck and BBQ structure with a green roof, and started the installation of pre-cast retaining walls.

The remaining phases of the project will include an the completion of the bike shed, the BBQ structure, the construction of the deck, installation of permeable pavers, the completion of the pre-cast retaining walls and fire pit area, as well as a site wide GSI system that directs a lot of the site stormwater to a rain garden. 100% of the plant materials will be non-invasive, adapted, or native to Michigan. Great care is being taken to protect the natural features of the site during construction. The entire site is being designed to be low maintenance.
