design-Build mindset
Experienced, Creative, and Professional
Inhabitect enriches the projects we design, build, and grow by offering a different perspective on landscaping. We provide ecologically viable solutions backed by experience and integrity. Our skillsets include horticulture, landscaping, stormwater management and construction as well as a touch of artistry and ingenuity. Having both the design and construction in-house, we work together to ensure the end result is more efficient, effective, and within budget.
We take the time to listen to our client’s needs and provide unique solutions. When possible, we strive to collaborate with project architects, engineers, and general contractors during a project’s design and budgeting stages. This helps to increase efficiency and aids our team during the implementation stages of a project.
Inhabitect will look at the challenges of the site and offer an innovative viewpoint that most practitioners do not consider. This results in the enhancement of a site’s design and ensure our customer’s expectations are met. A changing climate requires solutions to problems such as stormwater mitigation, natural resource management, and sustainable community growth. Inhabitect will minimize the effects these challenges by creating ecologically friendly landscapes on rooftops and the ground, in residential, public and commercial settings.
Effective, Efficient and Accurate
Below are examples of what you can expect from our design team. Inhabitect utilizes numerous software and drafting technologies, such as tradition AutoCad, the standard Adobe suite, and high powered drones to develop sets of highly detailed and scaled drawings. From concept to project completion, we deliver an elevated landscape experience. Each drawing set helps our team be effective, efficient and accurate during the budgeting, bidding, and construction stages of the project – leaving any guess work out of the process.

Design that Activates Nature
Inhabitect is a new breed of landscaper, we are designing, building, and growing ecologically resilient landscapes, both on rooftops and at ground level. This infographic represents the interconnection between the various scopes of work and solutions that can we deliver to our clients.
We are shifting conversations in the landscape industry by embracing resiliency, innovative products and systems, and implement these design strategies. We are activating nature and delivering environmentally-sound landscapes and stormwater solutions that consciously protect our waterways, wetlands, as well as the microhabitats of the Great Lakes basin.

Rooftop Projects
The lakefront project showcases Inhabitect’s ability to work in sensitive, highly regulated environmental areas, combining ecological integrity with architectural excellence.
The Belt Line Center proves that a green roof can do more than replace an old one—it can pay for itself. It’s the first building in Michigan to use PACE financing for a green roof. The project includes a 17,250 sq. ft. vegetated roof, 300 sq. ft. of pavers, a 2,500 sq. ft. blue roof, and a rain garden for added stormwater management.
We helped streamline the installation process of this private rooftop living space—adjusting designs and layouts, selecting materials, and implementing the construction phase on a very tight deadline—while meeting the client’s budget expectations.
